Ursa Major Rifle
This rifle is a collaboration between the owner of Saft Custom (Ray) and the master guide Tony Marchini. Ray selected custom components to meet Tony's requirements, then built the rifle. Tony then suggested refinements until the final product matched his needs.
Action
The heart of this rifle is the American Rifle Company Mausingfueld action. This action takes design elements of two front line rifles in WW I and WW II, the German K98 Mauser, American 1903 Springfield with a modern twist. The distinguishing features are the German claw extractor, providing controlled round feed. This extractor helps prevent double feeds.
